The announcement was made on the occasion of Navratri.

The company currently has over 78,000 women advisors, who constitute around 32 per cent of its total advisor base but contribute approximately 45 per cent of its agency business, as of September 30, 2026.

In markets such as Bangalore, Kerala, and Mumbai, women advisors account for more than 50 per cent of agency business. Over 500 women advisors have qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), a global recognition for top-performing insurance and financial services professionals.

Amish Banker, Chief Distribution Officer, ICICI Life Insurance, said women advisors demonstrate strong customer understanding and relationship skills critical to the insurance business.

He added that the Narishakti initiative provides training and support to help women build careers as financial planners with no upfront investment and flexible working hours.

Notably, 47 per cent of the company’s women advisors have been associated with ICICI Life for more than 10 years, indicating high retention.

Launched in 2024, the Narishakti programme targets homemakers, salaried professionals, and businesswomen. The recruitment push aligns with the government’s Insurance for All by 2047 objective. ICICI Life Insurance currently protects 73.73 million lives across India.
