ICICI Lombard General Insurance on Monday launched 25 new products and innovations across health, motor, home, travel and commercial insurance lines, marking its silver jubilee with what it described as its largest single-day product rollout. The company said the launches include five industry-first offerings.
The announcements come as India’s largest private general insurer crosses 25 years of operations, having served over 500 million customers and settled more than 60 million claims. The company reported a Gross Written Premium of ₹306.18 billion for the year ended March 31, 2026.
Among the headline launches, ICICI Lombard introduced a Digital Insurance Branch at Siddhivinayak Metro Station in Mumbai, claimed to be the country’s first fully digital insurance outlet within a metro transit hub. The branch allows commuters to buy or renew policies, register claims, complete KYC and access basic health checks on the spot.
On the AI front, the company launched a Voice AI platform that has already handled over one million customer calls. The bot operates in Hindi and English round the clock, and is capable of completing a full policy purchase within a single call. A Personalised Travel Planner, embedded in the IL TakeCare app, generates day-by-day trip itineraries alongside travel insurance options using conversational AI.
New product additions include Elevate Her, a women-focused modular health plan covering life stages from adolescence to menopause; Paw Care, a pet insurance plan covering veterinary expenses and emergencies; and Complete Home Protect, offering home contents coverage with policy tenures of up to 30 years.
For motor customers, the company launched Motor Service Assure, promising roadside assistance within 30 minutes across 15 cities, and a Motor Cyber Cover addressing risks from hacking and unauthorised access to connected vehicles.
Managing Director and CEO Sanjeev Mantri said the launches reflected the company’s intent to make insurance more personalised and future-ready, while reaffirming commitments made to customers over 25 years.
